Best segues ever? How many can we name?

Someone on the radio the other day was raving about the segue from "Rotosound Strings" into "I Can See for Miles" on The Who Sell Out. It is great, as is the Friends into Celebration Day one on LZ3. What are some other great ones?

'Tenement Funster' into 'Flick Of The Wrist' into 'Lily Of The Valley' on Queen's Sheer Heart Attack.

First thing that comes to mind is the entire first side of Todd Rundgrens A Wizard, A True Star, especially the first five or so tracks and the awesome segue from "Sunset Blvd." to the reprise of "International Feel". Best moments on the album.

I would also nominate Skylarking's "Summer's Cauldron" to "Grass", not coincidentally also produced by Todd

Or 'Ballet From A Rainy Day' into '1000 Umbrellas' ... the right chord change, the word 'grey', and the entire mood changes.

"Ignition"/"Ignition (remix)" or does that not count

Royksopp's Back To Mine mix has a crossfade from Talking Heads' "Born Under Punches" to the next track that has the two overlapping for what must be a minute. I'm always impressed by that DJ trick when it's done well.

So Young into Animal Nitrate on Suede's debut LP has always been a favourite.

Iron Maiden-Ides of March into Wratchild on Killers.

Numerous examples also exist on Black Sabbath's "Sabotage"

"Candidate (Reprise)" into "Rebel Rebel" on Diamond Dogs is good

Well, the whole album counts somewhat, but "Intro" into "Brave Men Run (In My Family)" on Sonic Youth's Bad Moon Rising is a personal favorite for sure. Segue right into "Society Is A Hole" also great.

My go-to for this is always James Brown and the JBs, "Brother Rapp" into "Ain't It Funky Now" on Love Power Peace: Live at the Olympia, Paris, 1971.

...hell, Side Two as well

The two Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Bands. I don't particularly like the first one, though it's very clever, but (Reprise) into A Day In The Life is spine-tingling. Hell, tbh Chas & Dave into A Day In The Life would probably give me goosebumps too.

"I Wonder U" into "Under the Cherry Moon" on Parade (Prince)

only heard genesis' duke for the first time recently and the first three tracks transition into each other awesomely, "behind the lines" -> "duchess" -> "guide vocal"

The Cars: Moving in Stereo > All Mixed Up. From the same side of the LP, the cold stop at the end of You're All I Got Tonight with the quick segue into Bye Bye Love is not too shabby.
