Anticipating Wild Belle's debut album

I first heard this song on Sound Opinions SXSW 2012 Recap and again in the car on my local college radio station WPRB last night and it stayed with me:

I love the trippy implied-psychedelia, the way the lethargic samples and instrumentation collides with the uptempo off-beat, the cool vocals. The video is... unusual.

Apparently they're a two-piece brother-sister combo from Chicago and won't be releasing an album until March, 2013 - all that's available now is a 12" for the above song (b/w "Take Me Away") and there's another video available as well:

Tracks are available on iTunes and there is some overpriced UK vinyl twelve inches on eBay for the second vid-clip I above, but otherwise, that's it until the album which I cannot wait to check out. Anyone else feeling this?

Keep You came out early last year, and I was into it. Then It's Too Late arrived and I was less into it. Still will check them out as things progress, but they were already on the highwire of things I hate vs. things I love and they seem to be tipping towards the former.

one month passes...

digging this - it reminds me of a more psychedelic take on the type of dub that was popular in the UK in the 70s. Or maybe an indie Ace of Base.

Elliot also runs shit for Nomo, who you should check out if yr not familiar: It's jammy, weird and wonderful. It's Nomo's new album 'Ghost Rock'
