Who is the ultimate gig hound (or hounds)?

I got to wondering, what artist or band is really the ultimate gig hound (aka hardest working musician in show business)?

I'd have to think it was a country artist or maybe someone like BB King.

It's easy to think that BB King maybe has maybe perhaps played 10000 gigs. (That would be like 200 shows a year for 50 years, which I think over time 'might' be possible.

It is probably a question impossible to answer, but I have to wonder.

How many shows has Aerosmith played at this point or any artist that long into a career?

Willie Nelson is way up there. As is Dylan. But BB was a serious road warrior for a good long time.

Yeah Willie came to mind for me.

I'm sure Sonny Rollins and a whole mess of jazz dudes are up there too.

Yeah, Sonny's been going forever and a day.

...seriously, maybe over 5000 shows across the last 40 years.
