they played tons of stuff from cork tree and prior... dipped into the last two albums only intermittently and played only the single off the new album. was a very conscious 'back to basics'/real heads know the deal kinda thing i guess, but they sounded incredible. very fun show, would attend secret fall out boy show at 375 cap venue again.

they did play all the singles tho, so that was cool. they actually played a fair amount of stuff from 'infinity on high' too

i didn't get a chance to read the news stories today so this may be old news but pete said that patrick called him like 18 months ago to write songs but what they came up with didn't "feel right" or whatever. then patrick called him again a few months ago and they got back at it and i guess that's where this album is coming from.

also patrick was looking fine

hi!!!! after a day “kintsugi kid” is my new favorite fall out boy song. so much of this album i can describe as “like a classic fob track pulled through [distinct texture]”; this one is synth-pop and as a result it’s got the tunnel of love effect where the song is UNBEARABLY SAD but has a real skip in its step

i think it’s very funny that wentz and ldr (taylor swift’s all-time favorite lyricists) both released albums featuring “kintsugi” as a song title today
