I just heard the Hank Williams III take on "No Values" pretty strange!
Anyone hear this yet? Ryan Adams SHOULD not be on this!! Someone wants to appeal to the Low Jean Wearing Model chicks in NYC!

I just heard about this and I have to say that there's something sorta dubious about appearing on a tribute album to a band you were in. Well, aside from the dubious quality of tribute albums.

I'd like to hear the Exene version ... other than that.. feh...

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 1 October 2002 18:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, it's sorta questionable that Rollins is all over this thing...man that get really gets my goat!

dead dead bird, Tuesday, 1 October 2002 18:58 (twenty-two years ago)

(read get=guy...oops!)

ddb, Tuesday, 1 October 2002 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, aside from the dubious quality of tribute albums.
And the dubious quality of Black Flag in the first place.

Siegbran (eofor), Tuesday, 1 October 2002 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Siegbran, dude, you're crazy...I'd say about 17 of those songs are fucking classics! When Black Flag was untouchable man. You need to sit down with the First Four Years again.

Oh come on seigbran, "Damaged" is TEH R0x0R357. Most of the rest of their schtick is a but duff tho'. This tribute album will surely suck just as badly as most tribute albums and is utterly pointless no doubt. I wonder who ever buys them. has there ever been a good one I wonder?

Hmmmmmmmmm-Reunion Tour with a Mr Rollins pick up band???

brg30 (brg30), Tuesday, 1 October 2002 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Tribute albums are generally always crap. Rollins is all over this because Rollins *ORGANIZED* it. It's his baby....although I wonder how much Greg Ginn had to do with it.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 1 October 2002 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, wanna bet a Ginn organized Black Flag tribute would be half Ginn side projects?

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 00:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Whose the singer on Slip It In? If there was justice in the world it would be one of the teens from Kitty just make things even worse.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 00:50 (twenty-two years ago)

It's Inger Lorre, wacked out coulda been Courtney late eighties LA rock goddess singer from the Nymphs, Mr. Noodles.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 04:26 (twenty-two years ago)

the proceeds are going to benefit the west memphis 3 so thats cool

chaki (chaki), Wednesday, 2 October 2002 06:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't understand why Ginn would authorize something like this but won't let Husker Du reissue their records on decent CDs.
