List of overrated bands

The Rolling Stones. To me they are no more than just overrated jerks who write melodically dead emotionally dry music. The most overrated band I know of, actually. The Rolling Stones receive way too much praise and credit for everything from influence to the quality of their hooks. I'd give them a one at best. That said, there are a bunch of Stones songs that I do like (even a couple that I love) and I can easily say Beggar's Banquet is a really good album, but for the most part they really leave me cold. Sorry, this is just how I feel.

The Smiths have a handful of tracks that I like (Cemetery Gates, There Is A Light, and a few others), but I find it so difficult to get over my hatred of Morrissey that I can't bring myself to get into them.

The Doors. With the exception of "LA Woman" and "The End" (and thats mainly cos Apocalypse Now used it to great effect), this band were boring session musician noodly bollocks with a fat drunk who spouted a bunch of gibberish that everyone mistook for profundity

Every band you don't like but lots of other people do!
