Eh, half of those acts are in Wilco (and one is a child of Wilco). But I like the prospect of a reunited Dream Syndicate (with Kendra?), and Marc Ribot with David Hidalgo.

definitely some wilco incest, but oh well. dream syndicate reunion is not w/ kendra (not even with karl precoda), but it'd probably be fun anyway.

no Kendra, no credibility
― sleeve, Wednesday, 27 February 2013 15:37 (twelve years ago)
even wilco bucks couldn't get kendra to come out of hiding...
― tylerw, Wednesday, 27 February 2013 15:41 (twelve years ago)
i don't know who you're referring to by kendra, but the only person i know by that name isn't good news so i hope this kendra is better than that one

― tylerw, Wednesday, 27 February 2013 18:43 (twelve years ago)
the last time is saw them was in that gig i linked to above, which was in a minor league baseball stadium. pretty cool, even when it started raining, which that link referrs to. headed back to the parking garage tho
before that it was the wang theater and agganis arena. all in the boston area tbh

i guess if you want to save money kicking television can serve as some sort of surrogate to the actual experience
― markers, Wednesday, 27 February 2013 18:53 (twelve years ago)
or. hell, if you just don't want to go. i know i can't be asked to go to concerts at all these days
Mass Moca is awesome! I was there two weeks ago to see Jeff Mangum and that place is seriously neat. A friend of mine who was with me goes to that Wilco thing every year and said it's a good time. While we were drinking through the opening act I heard some people at a table behind me go, "What's with Wilco and this place? Are they like from here or something?" It took a lot of willpower not to lean over and tell them no.

I end up seeing Wilco two or three times a year, whether I want to or not, though often times just for the change of scenery. I'm one of the few who doesn't dig Nils that much. He's so good that he always seems good the same way every time I see him. Whereas Tweedy just keeps getting kind of better, so his soloing, while nowhere near as technically proficient, surprises me.
