Can't believe that I bought a Stryper album once and made my parents listen to it repeatedly on a car trip.

how's life, Tuesday, 19 February 2013 12:45 (twelve years ago)

For a bunch of children they are tight, I'll give them that but that's about as remarkable as it gets. The singer was the weak link here - I was actually quite impressed by the guitar/bass interplay. The drummer looked like he'd borrowed his dad's suit for the Year 11 ball. Overall my imagination crawls with horror at the idea of these guys making it big. They seem too much like a cool music teacher's idea of what a band should be and I'm already hearing a lot of voices in my head harping on about how "refreshing" and "original" they are for being a Welleresque wet dream.

hey might develop a
more or less otm. they are good. no more no less.

but they might develop, and big marketing expenses will probably push them forward, even if they don't quite deserve it yet.

nostormo, Tuesday, 19 February 2013 13:10 (twelve years ago)

nostormo, are you street teaming these guys or what?

dog latin, Tuesday, 19 February 2013 13:21 (twelve years ago)

three months pass...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-22896936

Music critics declared that the Fab Four had been reborn, but it's not something the teenagers are entirely comfortable with.

"To be honest we think it's quite a lazy comparison," said the mop-topped four piece who play music from 1963

one month passes...

They have sold out the Oxford O2 tonight. I think they are awful, awful, awful. They sound like Hanson covering Dr. Feelgood. Ten times worse than Viva Brother.

I hate it when teenagers make music like this. Of all people, teenagers should not be making retro music. Teenagers should be making music like you've never heard before! If you are not going to experiment on your music when you're young, then when on earth are you?

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 25 July 2013 12:44 (eleven years ago)

when you're a bit older and own records by more than 3 bands tbf

Mancunian stagger (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 25 July 2013 12:53 (eleven years ago)

NB for vast swathes of shitty shitty bands this never happens

Mancunian stagger (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 25 July 2013 12:54 (eleven years ago)

Hanson covering Dr Feelgood is a cool notion which I doubt these fellows are gonna live up to tbh

a lot of bands like the Rolling Stones didn't make particularly original music in their early careers.

Poliopolice, Thursday, 25 July 2013 14:08 (eleven years ago)

Still haven't heard these honchos. I like all sorts of music, everything from Beady Eye to Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - do you think I might dig them or are they a bit too far out?
