I heard haim 5 times being called an indie band on the tv this morning talking about these awards.

one thing i don't get is why savages are nommed in both the best album and best live band categories and yet don't get a nom for best british band (losing out to the likes of 2 door cinema club). or are they seen as non-british?

There's nothing more inevitable than Miley Cyrus edging out Robin Thicke for that Villain of the Year award, with Putin on 2% of the vote.
