Hey, recent Stompin' Tom threads reminding me how many Canadian ILMers there are...
Anyone in the GTA up for an ILM get together? Just a chance to hang out with other music nerds, drink a few beers, etc....

I'm another mostly-lurker here, but I'd be happy to meet other music nerds. But the 16th I got tickets to see Low at the Great Hall. Glad to hear a Toronto ILM FAP could happen, though.

I'm in the west end, kicking in chairs and knocking down tables, but anywhere's fine. And I'm off for the next 10 days, so the 16th is also fine.

As a relatively new TOian and Eastender to boot I am useless in this matter.

yeah I am not a savvy torontonian either. my favourite watering hole is a restaurant in Chinatown that sells $5 pitchers. I will trust someone else to make the decision.

actually, $5 pitchers and chinese food sounds pretty good....
i'm still open to suggestions, but if nobody's got any better ideas, i'll say either the rhino (it's kinda bland, but it's big, easy to find, lots of other places nearby if we decide to make a move), or marc's golden pavilion of cheap beer....

....hang on... just occurred to me, none of us know what the others look like, so maybe we should meet somewhere small and empty rather than big and crowded.....

i will swing by and double check that the 16th is a "background" night, though, as often as i've been to mezzrow's, i've never seen live music there. not even sure where a band would set up.....

i will wear my most distinctive article of clothing, which is a black hoodie with a void patch on the back. i can't find an image, but it's a black drawing of a skeleton in a coffin or something. it's upsidedown so it might be hard to distinguish, but it says void and has the crosses.
