I've had a soft spot for Bristol's Brilliant Corners ever since I heard Amelia Fletcher sing backup on two or three of their songs. Cherry Red just put out a terrific singles anthology, "Heart On Your Sleeve: A Decade In Pop 1983-1993". Details here.
Anyone else familiar with this band?

I only know bits and pieces, but yeah, they're pretty good. Sorry to not have much more of any import to add.

Really great in their middle period, pretty horrible at the end. Not a big fan of their earliest stuff, but some of it was ok.

I really like this band! Lots of fun- picked up one of the Cherry Red reissues based on the cover and description on a whim a few years ago, didn't regret it! I need to look into this new release.

The new anthology is all their singles A and B sides, which I always like as bands often display more range on their b-sides. I had never checked out their later period and the stuff here is still quite good! They're not a top tier 80s indie band but still consistently fun. One song contains the lyric "Love love love" over and over. As succinct as it gets!
