gonna be v. boring and vote "Station to Station" though I'm going to avoid the shit out of hearing Thirlwell's take on it

Station To Station makes a sense as a cover.
i can easily imagine a Melvins cover of it, though i predict it will be awful.

sort of tied up between Venom and Bowie and Roxy, will probly vote "Warhead" because it must be done.

When in doubt, choose metal.

I had that split Melvyns/Nirvana Velvet Underground tribute single, played their "Venus in Furs" the most

First time I ever saw Mudhoney play, Mark Arm was wearing a Scientists t-shirt. That guy loves that stuff.

‘Heathen Earth’ (Throbbing Gristle)

Hmmmm, not sure what this is? I know they did a live song called ‘Heathen Earth’ but don't think you oculd cover it too easily.

its an old blues song but nobody knows who wrote it. Robert Johnson certainly played it and of course everyone knows the Ram Jam version.

xp

after listening to this leaked record i'd say that sadly but not surprisingly, one can safely avoid it and wouldn't miss a thing

I wouldn't be especially forthright in recommending it to people who weren't paid-up Melvins fans but I don't think it blows either. Kinks cover is the best thing on here

Man you guys really know how to dampen excitement. Are you all available for hire to suck the joy out of parties that get too boisterous?

It's a great covers album and "Station To Station" is pretty amazing, far from awful.
