I have this weird artist friend who calls the artist one "Nick CAH-vey" and insists it's right. But he's also a serial mispronouncer of words/names, e.g. refers to Julie Mehretu as "Julie Meruti" and says "Chi-pole-tees" instead of Chipotle. As hard as this might be to believe, he's not taking the piss, he's just a little crazy and weird.
