I've always thought 2 Becomes 1 would make a good lover's rock tune.

a while ago i mused that mavado could probably do a cracking cover of odyssey 'inside out'

it's an easy game to play with him though

Always thought Pixies' Where is my mind? would make a good one if it hasn't been done yet.

Also Jackson Browne's These Days. Something by Al Green or Bill Withers?

couldn't immediately imagine the reggae groove for "where is my mind" then i thought: organ.

The intro is kind of dubby as it is, but "Open The Door" by Magnapop.

I was thinking of other Al Green songs like Tired of Being Alone or I'm Glad You're Mine. Let's Stay Together and I'm still in love have been covered many times before, right? He translates pretty good to reggae.

This is a better cover for Let's Stay Together.

Bee Gees "Every Christian Lionhearted Man"

four Marxes plus four Obamas plus four Bin Ladens (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 6 May 2013 22:38 (twelve years ago)

this isn't an "idea" but I was sort of shocked to notice that this is more or less a "cover" of "It Might as Well be Spring" by Rodgers & Hammerstein
