Crowsdell

I can't find any mp3s, no samples at Amazon, yadda yadda. I like Shannon Wright's "Maps of Tacit" and "Dyed in the wool" looks to be my next CD purchase -- would anything Crowsdell be up my proverbial alley?

I've got the Dreamette album and it's patchy but quite good in spots.

Dreamette got a lot of press when it was released (94?) due to Stephen Malkmus' engineering of the record. I haven't heard it since about then though, sorry...

There are a few fantastic songs on Dreamette but 'patchy' is a good word to describe it. "Sad Eyes" has a killer chorus and is a mix-tape staple. Suffice to say it sounds nothing like Shannon solo ... just an early 90's jangle band, like late-model Velocity Girl.

seven years pass...

Recently picked up "The End Of Summer" EP and I like it. Appeals to me the way Spinanes does.

i myself am totally capable of missing/ignoring lyrics, but the killer chorus is very very specifically about being molested

it's a great song and should be better known, even if mostly for being fucking harrowing
