I am looking for info on a Nashville-based singer/piano player by the name of Brian Giles.

I went down to Nashville a couple of months ago with some friends to have a look around. One night we decided to go drinking in a dive bar with a live band. I stumbled into one of the best live shows I have ever seen. There was this crazy piano player that reminded me of Jerry Lee Lewis on crank. He was this stick thin blonde guy in leather pants who played a vicious honky-tonk piano. By the end of the show he was throwing his legs over the rhodes, playing it while standing on it, playing it with his feet, climbing the rafters, and making a bar half-full of Kentucky bikers go completely apeshit.

It sounds clichéd, but the room really was charged while he and his band were playing. I have been meaning to find out more about him for the last couple months, but I cannot pull up any info on him. I know it is a long shot asking this on ILM, but do any of you know anything about this fella?

The only Brian Giles I know of plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The "lost" Giles brother from early Crimson, no doubt.

That is about it Stencil, the only info I can find about "Brian Giles" is baseball related.

I doubted anyone would know who he was. He isn't famous, and he cannot even get a record deal in Nashville (I spoke to him briefly after his set) I am not even sure if he has any real releases to speak of, he was just a brilliant piano player in a bar.

ANDY K. YOU ARE MY HERO!!!

That is him alright, I guess that I misheard him. The opening page has a picture of him hanging from the rafters, that was the bar I saw him at.

Just out of curiosity, how did you know that this was the guy I was talking about? Does he actually have a following this far north?
