my (controversial?) notion is that while all the albums are great, they got a little more boring with each one. automatic midnight is my vote.

Automatic Midnight, for the exact reasons mentioned above.

Will always be Automatic Midnight for me. Not much equals my thrill at finding out that Froberg and Reis were playing again, waiting for the results, and then hearing "If Credit's What Matters I'll Take Credit" for the first time. Cranked extremely loudly of course. (This after being a GIANT Drive Like Jehu fan. I had finally given up on them ever putting an album out/getting back together, and then they did this ....)

All the albums are great though, it's true.

grandavis, Friday, 24 May 2013 19:52 (twelve years ago)

i'll be a contrarian and say audit in progresss

all these albums are fucking great, and I dig Thunder Down Under too. But if forced to rank I go Automatic/Audit/Suicide

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

Yep. and "Plenty for All" is a perfect lil' career-capper.

Whoa - I've just seen they're playing London this Saturday and tickets are still available!

....and I'm out of town for work (bummmmmmmmmmer)

Walter Galt, Thursday, 30 May 2013 11:44 (twelve years ago)

They are so good live, that really is too bad. Hope I get to see them again some day.

grandavis, Thursday, 30 May 2013 13:42 (twelve years ago)

All three of these records are ridiculously good, but Audit in Progress is my favorite.

suicide invoice does have "lax" which might be their best song ever

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 31 May 2013 14:31 (twelve years ago)

7 to 6 to 4 is close enough to "flip a coin" that I don't mind my least fave winning at all

da croupier, Friday, 31 May 2013 15:04 (twelve years ago)

They have few enough songs someone should make an opo song poll
