i think nouns might be my least favorite out of the three. weirdo rippers was more raw but was all the better for it. everything in between was way more polished and has some pop structures without sounding like a bunch of assholes, and it's my favorite. nouns always seemed like a transition record to me. shit, maybe i need to listen to it more! *puts it on*

They're all great. Everything In Between has Fever Dreaming which is easily 1 of their best songs.

I'm always surprised when I hear people say Nouns and EIB are so different. No where near as much as a break as in between Weirdo & Nouns.

ehh, not feeling this song and that's a bummer because this band has been pretty solid so far. sounds like they're running out of ideas.

if it's okay, it's not enough

this is great! i can see why it would be a disappointment to those who were enjoying their progression to everything in between and though they were about to bust out another 30 minutes of noiserock anthems, but i hear this as a fantastic transition record. there's a lot of talk about about how this one is all "textures", and yeah, sure, maybe, but they haven't lost their pop instinct by any means. they're developing something pretty unique here, i think, and in a few spots everything becomes a bit more clear and you can sort of see what they might aiming for. for example, halfway through "commerce, comment, commerce". they're kind of getting shit on for this album, it seems, but if anything they should have taken the new direction that they took with this album FURTHER. more than anything it whets my appetite for their subsequent work.
