New Fast Automatic Daffodils C or D?

The much-lauded Radio 4 sound, to my ears, a very poor version of my beloved New FADs. A band well ahead of their time, recording a great dubbed up version of Loose Joints "Is is All Over My Face?” Their first album was awesome, but their music seemed to lose direction. They were never accepted by the Manchester scene of the late eighties and seemed equally at odds with indie in the early 90's. Their second album "Body Exit Mind" is a confused record, but it does have the awesome "It's Not What You Know" on it.

Anyways, a great band to dance to but also get lost to, New FADs I salute you and whatever it was you wanted to be.

I love 1995's "Love It All" album. An overlooked classic.

Never heard Love It All and have always wanted to. MarkH, CDR swap?

The first album and the Peel Sessions were both godlike -- they played LA for their one and only time in 1991, and it remains the only club show I have ever seen for a live band where the audience (and a LA club audience at that!) started dancing at the start of the show and didn't stop until the final encore. For that reason alone, let them live in the memory.

Classic. Big was an amzing tune and I still sing Music Is Shit to myself at regular intervals.

I once walked out of a party on my own to go and see a gig of theirs. Well worth blowing my friends off.

I only have a cassette of Love it All. And I only got that coz the Westgate Library (the big central public library in Oxford) were flogging off their old tapes @ 50p each!
