are there still dance crazes? like the twist or the moonwalk - a signature move that captures the public's imagination...

I can only think of the macarena and the lambada (aka the forbbidden dance)

I saw an add for the ketchup dance by the ketchup girls or something like that. I have no idea what it is, or who they are. It is, according to the ad, a "big dance craze in Europe and Latin America". If the as was telling the truth, then I guess I must get ready.

'The Ketchup Song' is tipped for the UK number 1 spot this Sunday...get practisin', and for gad's sake try to look as if you're enjoying yourself

There was a thread here on that Ketchup song, I was just dissappointed it wasn't a Stompin' Tom cover.

But to answer the question, yes there are still dance crazes, have you never done 'The Shopping Cart' or its local variation 'The Fishing Boat'? Its the dance for drunken emo kids who have been dragged out clubbing.

I haven't even heard the darn thing... am I missing something? has it hit in America? Because if it has, then I must be in a cave!

Oh Line Dancing! How that fad has gone like the wind into the homes of senoir citizen mobility classes.

i notice the *hip* people dancing like their pac-man. it could very well be the pills they are on, but i notice a tendency to behave robotic.

my friend went to Vinyl in NYC and saw someone dance the Running Man for like 6 hours straight!

Just got back from Germany where I've been staying for the week, where Las Ketchup 'The Ketchup Song' is played everywhere, before I heard it people couldn't believe I hadn't heard heard it and would proceed to do a sub-Whigfield dance routine (you don't even have to move your feet.) When I heard it I thought it was quite catchy but would never make the charts in the UK. Seems like I may have been wrong.

This summer, Spain has been a nightmare in that respect...

actually i think all the girls in my class dance to asereje(or ragatanga or the ketchup song it has like 10.000 names). I cant but once i tried to impress them by showing how even tho i cant dance it i can perfectly sing the chorus, wich is probably harder to do than dance it

I do love in the end of it the bit where you have to cross your knees

big fish little fish cardboard box/i've got a fridge and a microwave!

they will never die...

Usher's "Pop Ya Collar" dance shoulda been a craze, as All Saints' "Never Ever" shruggy shoulder thing...thinking about it, the latter was *well* a raze round my house...

twenty-three years pass...

Close to 1,000 teenagers crowded the edges of a carpeted rectangular dance floor on a recent Wednesday, cheering and shouting as a three-on-three dance battle heated up.

“Tanging,” the Philadelphia-grown dance style that competitors perform, is fast-paced, athletic and at times combative. It’s set to bouncy and explosive beats, a far cry from the heavy tones of drill rap.
