The best move that NinjaTune ever made was to have their roster provide film scores for SyFy Channel original movies instead of obscure Russian cinema. The 87-minute adaptation of Amon Tobin's "Four Ton Mantis" fell a little flat though.

And I know you guys won't listen to me because you think it's on some Waylon Krieger/Frances Bean Cobain/Apple Martin cash-in bullshit, but the Boatgorilla Brat Patrol's second album is really a step in the right direction for grunge fusion. That scene is really about to pick up. I wish someone from their camp would confirm the rumors about Grandpa Doug being alive and well in Belize though. : (

Can't wait to see how this does on Pazz and Jop, but I have a feeling it'll be left off by misguided critics who overrated the hell out of the rap 'album' that Aaron Hernandez recorded from jail.
