in UK it's BBC so no commercials? you get 8 clips, right?

here in the U.S., BBC America runs three commercial breaks
including 5+ solid minutes of ads at end of show (probably 10 minutes out of 30 are ads).

so each week 3 clips get cut...

and it seems popular, since they repeat it like 8-10 times a week
but I wondered why the countdowns kept showing all these cool clips I'd never seen

3 ad breaks *within* the programme? or do you mean 2 in the programme and one after the programme? either way it's still a lot!

2 ad breaks within and then the final 5 or 5½ minutes are ads (mostly for other BBC programs). who gets cut? mostly UK artists I suspect
