WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS POST, THEN?

well, i'll tell you if you let me. we have 21 ballots in and i know there are still folks who've said that they're going to do one and haven't done it yet and there may be folks who just don't KNOW about it. so, i'm extending the deadline, all entries must be in by the 13th! so get on it and get 'em in. thanks!

Melissa - You list your 40 favorite records (singles, albums, compilations, best-ofs, it's all good) and send them to Fred's ilmtop100 address up there. You give each record a number of points, no more than 20 per record, and the total of points for all records has to be 200. The points will go towards making a cumulative top 100 list for ILM. Or you can just forget about that part and give all records 5 points each.

So do we have any clear favourites for the top spot? Will we get a pop vote (DC or Britney) or another predictable MM-end-of-the-year- poll-indie-bore-vote (let's say 'Queen is Dead').

For some reason I have a feeling 'Loveless' has the best odds. ;)

lookin' at my list - bandnames look better with the taken out - remember how manic street preachers acquired the 'the' - some journo plot/Whiley subterfuge - it should be Strokes. The Sparks - how shit would that have been.
