During the 2013 G8 Summit a few articles mentioned that gifts given by David Cameron to other leaders included a USB stick of music by new British artists. I couldn’t find much more about it by searching the Internet.
So I made a Freedom of Information Request for the playlist. FOI requests are a bit like Google but powered by civil servants instead of algorithms.
Today I got the response. They gave me the answer as a spotify playlist

Without listening to any of these, I'm assuming that they're all lighter guitar-based pop-rock with folk tinges and would be categorized as "indie" by the UK press. How close am I?

Had a bunch of my Notts DIY friends defending Bugg as 'actually a nice guy' but he still makes me rmde the most. Have fortunately missed most of these, though I know *exactly* what they sound like. UGH.

Quite like La Havas and Mvula, though I feel like they're more "untapped potential" rather than "fully formed artist" at present. Also neither of their songs listed are their best ones.
