Examples: Blur, Madonna, Suede
Exceptions that prove the rule (whatever the frig that means): LTJ Bukem, John Miles, Squarepusher.

Music for the Jilted Generation is still classic, though.
An exception that proves the rule is something that makes you realise there is a rule. Like when you hear an album with Music in the title and think. "This is pretty good! Which is strange, because now that I think about it, usually albums with Music in the title are shit."

I think most albums with "Music" in the title are bloody classic. I can add:- Duffy & Kenendy: Music in Colors- Oregon: Music of Another Present Era- Steve Reich: Music for a Large Ensemble / Music for Mallet Instruments
Of the ones cited, I consider classics:- John Cale: Music for a New Society- Lou Reed: Metal Machine Music- Talking Heads: Fear of Music- Boards of Canada: Music Has the Right to Children- Depeche Mode: Music for the Masses- Brian Eno: Music for Films- Galaxie 500: This Is Our Music- Chuck Berry: Rockn'Roll Music
