because our 6-year anniversary is next week. what song should he pick?
The show is a blend of Killer Oldies (Classic R & B, Soul and Old School) and Today’s Hits including some Latin Hip Hop and is consistently rated #1 in all demos (Grandparents to their kids and their kids).

the current art laboe show doesn't play a lot of "oldies but goodies" -- it's more '80s/'90s r&b with a smattering of '70s soul and some '80s latin freestyle. he has a HUGE latino listenership. tonight we heard shannon's "let the music play" and mariah's "we belong together." other nights it'll be heatwave's "always and forever" and the mary jane girls' "all night long."

ah, sounds cool. it's on in LA?
― wk, Tuesday, 10 September 2013 07:51 (twelve years ago)
it is on in l.a. but many markets carry the show and it's streaming online.
Laboe continues in music as an MC, promoter, and Internet disc jockey. His "Killer Oldies" show can be heard every Sunday night in select cities across the West Coast. In 2006, Laboe announced he would also do a nightly show (Monday through Friday) for select stations that already carried his Sunday Night show. Stations like KDES-FM in Palm Springs, KAJM FM, MEGA 104.3 in Phoenix, Arizona and XHRM in San Diego have already signed on with more expected to follow. Though Laboe resides in Los Angeles, his radio programs are now based out of Fresno, CA (KOKO-FM 94.3).
