i've heard the whole thing and it's great, sort of a mid-'90s-ish alt rock record that explores every weird tangent in the band's capacity.

Oh man this third track 'mermaid' is kinda heavy like.

These are kids who rode around in the car with their parents blasting Fastbacks from the tape deck in the 90s, right? I'm trying to figure out the genesis of the 90s indie/lo-fi revival, but a) it's hard to pinpoint and b) it makes me feel crazy old.

dunno if it's necessarily down to parents. I think every 20 years things come back in style. just from younger people searching stuff out.

Yeah, this new album really great. I loved the first one so much that I figured that the new one would pale in comparison...and it does, but just a little.

It seems to tread the same ground but I have no problem with that.

This is easily at the top of the '90s indie revival heap. Really good album (big leap above the last one, too, which was good but samey).

I love every second of this album omg. They totally nail that sour-happiness sound that makes listening painfully enjoyable. Stabilize is my current favourite - that break nearly kills me.
