what's up ugly girls? (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 18 September 2013 19:37 (twelve years ago)

good idea for a poll, although i'd almost be more interested in post-70s stuff only, because i'm much less familiar with them! i'm going for Coney Island Baby because it seems to be under appreciated.

some of the Mo Tucker stuff I've never been able to track down. was kind of disappointed in Playin' Possum when I finally heard it. in general my attention span dramatically drops off after Songs for Drella. except for Lulu of course lol

Paris 1919, ahead of Desertshore and Metal Machine Music.

CALL THE POLL OFF

that mo anthology that came out last year is a good one -- pretty much covers everything you want from her solo stuff.
too bad she and jonathan richman never made a sonny & cher style duet album.... i guess it's not too late?

Great poll idea. I assumed I'd be voting for Paris or some other John Cale LP (I have a soft spot for Honi Soit), but I forgot how much I love those first three Reed albums (largely because so much of those three are made up of unused VU songs)

shit how did Fear get left off. um, can I restart this poll - mods...?

God help me but I'm tempted to go with new sensations.

da croupier, Wednesday, 18 September 2013 20:17 (twelve years ago)

can someone delete this - I made another one with Fear included

first I think it's time I kick a little verse! (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Wednesday, 18 September 2013 20:53 (twelve years ago)

Others:

Paris 1919
Fear
Slow Dazzle
Coney Island Baby
Life in Exile...
The Blue Mask
Legendary Hearts

but, yeah, I love the casual philosophizin' peeking behind the great riffs, awful drum sound, and popcraft on NS.
