The title track was one of my favourite songs when I was 7-8. After pulling it out in plug to at least my own enjoyment, I started going back to the rest of the album (at least via Youtube streams). It actually holds up reasonably well as these things go, despite the airless digital 80s production, imo. It's mostly Styx/Genesis/Gabriel pomp but Gowan had a strong voice and solid melodic sense and was a decent tasteful keyboardist. The singles "Strange Animal" and the 7:21 epic "Criminal Mind" still seem like the standouts but there were some creative things going on in terms of harmony and synth sounds on "City of Angels", for example. I liked "Walking on Air" too. Never really been a fan of "Cosmetics" though.
