Thanks for the suggestions, good shout on Sounds of Blackness. Those Jamie Principle tracks are great, but don't really sound that religiously inspired. Also "all the Romanthony" - you sure, he's done some less than inspiring stuff? Few more from me:

I was gonna suggest Dan Electro too, his whole album is samples of old gospel tunes married to house beats. It's all quite good!

Can't get enough of Terrence Parker's output over the past few years, recently. Kind of a formula of big pianos and organs, but it's great simple production that makes it.

Anyone got the reissue of 'Life on the back 9' with new Carl Craig mixes etc. Worth getting?

At a small festival at the weekend I stumbled across Harrsn ft the House Gospel Choir - a house music DJ with four gospel singers behind the decks, singing the vocal parts. I think it was mostly classic house tunes but there may have been some originals - either way hearing the live vocals and seeing the singers infectious enthusiasm was amazing. For me it was absolutely a right place right time surprise festival magic kind of thing.
