hallo gallo seems like THE track but if I'm being honest about which track is the most fun to listen to/the one I go back to the most it's CHA CHA 2000 all the way

Hallo Gallo is the first Neu track that blew my mind, so that one. But I'll certainly be checking out every track that gets a vote!

I went with "Lila Engel". The vocal gives it a nice edge compared to the usual Neu!isms.

I voted "Rheinita" because it was the first song of this ilk I heard. Back in '84, Jabice Long hosted the evening session on Radio One and she'd have a 'star' in each week to introduce their favourite songs and it was there I heard "Rheinita" - you'll never guess who chose it. Anyway I found a second hand copy of "Viva" not long after that then the other La D records then Neu then Harmonia and though I would love to choose something from "Deluxe", there's a grandeur and gentle glide to "Rheinita" that still entrances me.

Should have ommited hallogalllo from this poll. Anyone voting otherwise is being subjective.

It's like polling one of the most influential songs of all time against its cousins.

I recently got incredibly high and put on the S/T La Dusseldorf record...for a minute, lying there in my room in Peckham, I thought I'd been transported to a German forest and was about to enter some dilapidated baroque hall. Crazy stuff.

really surprised watussi didn't get more votes. for me it is one of a few on that list that still has a sense of strangeness and unfamiliarity. i guess it leans more toward the sound of cluster, who i feel have held up much better than neu!

It's my (probably) favourite Neu! song but I don't know if I would have voted for it in this poll... but then I didn't vote in this poll

I once made a t-shirt to wear to a Michael Mayer DJ gig with the words "Für Immer" printed on them - a combined reference/homage to both Neu! and Mayer's first Immer mix. Not that anyone would notice.
Anyway, I'm sometimes convinced that's my favourite Dinger and/or Rother song but then I hear "Hallogallo"'s chug, or the tearjerking synth on "Neuschnee" and I just get lost in space and time... Since that also happens quite often when I listen to Harmonia or La Düsseldorf, voting in this poll was impossible.
Played Neu!2 on an actual Autobahn last Sunday. Bliss.
