About a year ago, I finished polling all of the #1's on Billboard's Alternative Chart (available here) as well as the songs that peaked at #2 (available here). Time to complete the set and go through all of the songs that went to #3. I'll divide these into 7 eras: The 1980's, the pre-Nirvana '90s, Nevermind through the death of Kurt Cobain, the mid-90's heyday, the Nu-Metal craze, Bush's 2nd term, and the current era.
