where you go i go too, because it's the one that i enjoy from start to finish.

dan138zig (Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr), Sunday, 1 December 2013 11:36 (eleven years ago)

I have lot of time for Smalhans, II w/ Prins Thomas and It's a Feedelity Affair but it has to be Where You Go I Go Too. I seem to fall in love with that album more and more as time goes on.

Kitchen Person, Sunday, 1 December 2013 14:21 (eleven years ago)

Feedelity affair the most solid front to back but it's a compilation of singles, not an album

gotta be WYGIGT

|$̲̅(̲̅ιοο̲̅)̲̅$̲̅| (gr8080), Sunday, 1 December 2013 15:15 (eleven years ago)

Reinterpretations. It probably isn't as good as WYGIGT but it served as excellent commuting to work on dark winter morning music for me.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Sunday, 1 December 2013 15:45 (eleven years ago)

where you go i go too, with smalhans as close runner-up

II

WYGIGT by some distance.

inevitable six cups of rebel sweep

CANONICAL artists, etc., etc. (contenderizer), Monday, 2 December 2013 00:58 (eleven years ago)

wygigt, but real life is no cool is damn good too

akadarbarijava (psychgawsple), Monday, 2 December 2013 01:00 (eleven years ago)

where you go > real life > feedelity

CANONICAL artists, etc., etc. (contenderizer), Monday, 2 December 2013 01:03 (eleven years ago)

RLINC pretty easily. Vocals add so much more interest to this style.

jmm, Monday, 2 December 2013 01:08 (eleven years ago)

don't really feel lindstrom.. the pointillist eurodisco stuff is especially boring. the stuff that sounds the most like postrock is my favorite.

when a real whiney hold you down, you sposed to drown (The Reverend), Monday, 2 December 2013 01:31 (eleven years ago)

It's between II and RLINC for me.

Geoffrey Schweppes (jaymc), Monday, 2 December 2013 01:52 (eleven years ago)

real life is no cool > where you go i go too >>>>>> it's a feedelity affair = reinterpretations >>> ii > smalhans >>>>>>>>> six cups of rebel

don't think i've heard the l&pt debut

lex pretend, Monday, 2 December 2013 08:18 (eleven years ago)

RLINC and WYGIGT are both incredible and so different that i'm not going to argue vociferously between them but i am surprised WYGIGT seems to be walking this

lex pretend, Monday, 2 December 2013 08:19 (eleven years ago)

i threw a vote to II because I like its looseness and playfulness and I think lindstrøm is best when collaborating, but WYGIGT is probably objectively his finest achievement.

Clay, Monday, 2 December 2013 08:32 (eleven years ago)

WYGIGT > Smalhans > Real Life Is No Cool > Feedelity >>> L&PT >>>> ii >>>>>>>> Six Cups.

Not sure I've heard Reinterpretations.

Matt DC, Monday, 2 December 2013 10:01 (eleven years ago)

"mighty girl" is the banger off reinterpretations

lex pretend, Monday, 2 December 2013 10:37 (eleven years ago)

(the rest of the album i can take or leave but that track is amazing)

lex pretend, Monday, 2 December 2013 10:37 (eleven years ago)

Smalhans, no contest!!!

octobeard, Monday, 2 December 2013 22:13 (eleven years ago)

Feedelity Affair is the best but doesn't count. Real Life Is No Cool is held back by the last two tracks which are a bit of a letdown after So Much Fun. That leaves Where You Go I Go Too which is amazing from start to finish.

skip, Monday, 2 December 2013 22:18 (eleven years ago)

I included Feedelity because I think comps count as albums. It's fine tho' if it's just me that feels that way.

chromecassettes, Tuesday, 3 December 2013 01:18 (eleven years ago)

It totally "works" as an album, it's all pieces from a certain part of his career. He could do with some more odds & sods collections, too, but they'd feel less cohesive.

giant faps are what you take, wanking on the moon (sic), Tuesday, 3 December 2013 01:31 (eleven years ago)

I'm not an authority on him but WYGIGT is all time.

Beatrix Kiddo (Raymond Cummings), Tuesday, 3 December 2013 01:40 (eleven years ago)

Feel like the L&PT debut is being overlooked here, but would have to go back and listen to them all to decide ranking.

Tim F, Tuesday, 3 December 2013 02:00 (eleven years ago)

yeah that album is prob my #2

|$̲̅(̲̅ιοο̲̅)̲̅$̲̅| (gr8080), Tuesday, 3 December 2013 04:04 (eleven years ago)

the debut and reinterpretations are what i go back to most often. 'run', 'claudja', 'boney m down' all hit this desultory balearic spot that i wish lindstrom would delve into more often.

karl...arlk...rlka...lkar..., Tuesday, 3 December 2013 05:01 (eleven years ago)

'boney m down' is so great. I think it prefer II because it leans in that direction more than his other works.

☞ (brimstead), Tuesday, 3 December 2013 19:01 (eleven years ago)

his/their. Though i haven't heard either Prins Thomas albums.

Feel like the L&PT debut is being overlooked here

If I had known of this poll's existence before now, it would have gotten two votes instead of one. Its still my 'go-to' Lindstrom album.

van smack, Saturday, 7 December 2013 18:41 (eleven years ago)

Yeah, the L&PT debut is my favorite too, would have voted for it if I got around to it.

For years I thought "Mighty Girl" was one of those quintessential Lindstrom singles, and then I found out it's a cover of a Can song. Huh.

Michael F Gill, Saturday, 7 December 2013 23:37 (eleven years ago)

been rockin Reinterpretations today, so good. it and the s/t are way better than II, imo.

For years I thought "Mighty Girl" was one of those quintessential Lindstrom singles, and then I found out it's a cover of a Can song. Huh.
are these things mutually exclusive?

mizzell, Tuesday, 10 December 2013 19:06 (eleven years ago)

Six Cups of Rebel (2012) 2
I do hope these were genuine votes and not just contrarianism. I couldn't not vote for It's a Feedelity Affair but I love Six Cups too.
