spinners over slade and love train

brimstead, Thursday, 19 December 2013 03:12 (eleven years ago)

have been listening to this Spotify list and i'm up to "Stay with Me" and it's slaying right now!

Bee OK, Thursday, 19 December 2013 04:25 (eleven years ago)

heard, so far, for the first time ever "If You Don't Know Me by Now," "Sail Away" and "Perfect Day." Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes blew me away and is right up my alley.

Bee OK, Thursday, 19 December 2013 04:30 (eleven years ago)

Tumbling Dice

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Thursday, 19 December 2013 04:52 (eleven years ago)

'i'll be there' over 'virginia plain' and 'thirteen' but it's a threeway tie really

balls, Thursday, 19 December 2013 05:54 (eleven years ago)

OK, this might be the hardest ILM poll ever.

Darin, Thursday, 19 December 2013 06:42 (eleven years ago)

I could make a pretty strong case for at least 10 of these.

Darin, Thursday, 19 December 2013 06:44 (eleven years ago)

Superstition. But c'mon, this list.

that's not my post, Thursday, 19 December 2013 06:47 (eleven years ago)

Willin. But where is Supernaut?

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Thursday, 19 December 2013 15:43 (eleven years ago)

"Tumbling Dice" is probably the best thing they ever did. But I'll probably end up voting for Jimmy Cliff.

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Thursday, 19 December 2013 15:54 (eleven years ago)

probably probably

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Thursday, 19 December 2013 15:54 (eleven years ago)

I remeber the majority of these from the radio (AM)

"Love Train"

Bee OK, Saturday, 21 December 2013 02:29 (eleven years ago)

i know in reality this is not true but: "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" > "Superstition."

Bee OK, Saturday, 21 December 2013 04:01 (eleven years ago)

"You Are the Sunshine of My Life" > "Superstition."

I gave "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" its one vote.

_Rudipherous_, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 00:18 (eleven years ago)

"Superstition" is more obvious and in your face with its greatness, with the rhythm bouncing around so much, but "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" might be more quintessentially Stevie in the miniature world of bliss it creates. They're both great, obviously.

_Rudipherous_, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 00:22 (eleven years ago)

I loved them both as a kid, but I think "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" was somehow more mysterious to me, with its slightly odd (to me) bossa nova (?) harmonies.

_Rudipherous_, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 00:26 (eleven years ago)

I gave "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" its one vote

nope, i ended up voting "All the YOung dudes"

Bee OK, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 02:13 (eleven years ago)

No, I meant I gave it its one vote.

_Rudipherous_, Tuesday, 24 December 2013 02:23 (eleven years ago)

lol, when you quoted me i thought you thought i voted for it. i was in a hurry and didn't read it properly.
