'Simon Ferocious' is like a Blur songtitle. You've come full-circle, Moggers

Yeah, it all calmly ripples along the first time, but there are also some more dynamic/rock bits you only notice the second/third listen imho

OH MY GOD THE "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" BACKWARD MASKING SONG, WHY?????????????
Other than that, this album sounds great! The opening song is beautiful!

Well. It seems like I'm completely blind to any faults this band has - to anything it releases. This sounds wonderful. Or maybe it's just another great album?

I already like the studio versions a lot but, as with most of their recent albums, I can imagine I'll like them even more after I've heard them being played live, at ear-shattering volume.

I haven't tried reversing it myself, but there is some quiet back-masking at the very start of the album, which I guess relates in a tongue-in-cheek way to the later voice-over.

just did it, still not very clear, sounds a bit like "we're getting too far"

I sort of lost interest in them after Rock Action and Happy Songs For Happy People, got back into them with the last album (which was patchy but with amazing highs), but I'm not sure about this one. Feels more consistent but a bit pedestrian? I'm going to the Royal Festival Hall gig next Saturday so hoping it will all suddenly unfold for me.

I had a listen and enjoyed it, and would definitely listen to it again. I can see this and the Warpaint album tiding me over nicely while waiting to see what other releases come along.
