Spotify cover albums recommendations

I've been spending a lot of time listening to this 1998 album of instrumental covers of Prince songs by Keff McCulloch (who did the Sylvester McCoy era version of the Dr Who theme tune, and incidental music for several late 80s Dr Who stories) and I wanted to recommend it, and see if other people had recommendations for cover albums/'in the style of' type stuff on spotify?

The many "Orgel Sound J-Pop" comps are charming for a brief period of time.

There's just so much of this stuff being churned out, it's hard to know were to start! I'd like to read a long New Yorker article about the Vitamin String Quartet, how all those albums are recorded, about the musicians who play on them

I have the Starlite Orchestra playing the hits of the Neue Deutsche Welle downloaded to my phone. There's something strangely calming about their clinically professional, bloodless covers.

Top Kidz 2: Die Coolsten Deutschen Pop-Hits is pretty good as well.

King Larry Las Vegas if you're into fun covers. Shit, I spent about three whole days going through these, but the list is at my other home. I'll get back to you. But if you like "Incredibly Strange" type stuff, there is loads of it on Spotify.

Disco Fever have about a million albums of covers of disco and 80/90s pop songs on spotify (though the same tracks reappear on a lot of them), incluidng an incredible version of Wang Chung's 'Dance Hall Days' where it sounds like they couldn't make out the original lyrics and just went with vague phonetic approximations.
