I liked the compilation A Night at Club Baobab which is based on tehir 70s output. Had been looking for the belle Epoque material then found out that this was also from the same era. I think belle Epoque was getting pretty pricey and this turned up on Amazon marketplace cheaply.
Seem to be 2 or 3 main eras, they were around bamako in the 70s around teh same time as Les Ambassadeurs and the rail Band were innovating, then got rediscovered at the end of teh 90s/ early 00ies when Pirate's choice came out.NPot sure to what extent they had changed between the 2. I think that Pirate's choice set is pretty good from what i remember.
