Undecided as of yet but my vote will probably go to either "Last Dance" or one of the Billy Joel tracks.

Those two Billy Joel songs are for me the apotheosis of late-70s shitty production (bafflingly so, given that the producer also worked on Atlantic-era Coltrane records). They sound like the studio walls were lined with down comforters, only the down has been removed and replaced with quaaludes.

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Saturday, 8 February 2014 05:08 (eleven years ago)

Abba

Corpsepaint Counterpaint (jjjusten), Saturday, 8 February 2014 05:13 (eleven years ago)

This.

Voted ABBA, if only for the Erasure cover.

ABBA. Kind of surprised the Streisand one got to #2. I guess that movie was big.

"Reminiscing" is some Steely Dan down-under jammin'

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Saturday, 8 February 2014 16:41 (eleven years ago)

Voting for the shitty song from Grease. I love that song.

Ian from Etobicoke (Phil D.), Saturday, 8 February 2014 18:51 (eleven years ago)

Went with "Emotion" without hesitation. Barry Gibb was on fire in those days.

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Saturday, 8 February 2014 18:55 (eleven years ago)
