"Debris" makes me so wistful
Ronnie was really wistful

Excellent in both the Small Faces and Faces. In Small Faces, the tracks he sang provided a great balance to Marriott's passionate soulful lungbusters and excursions into cheeky cockney music hall. In Faces, the tracks he sang were far more soulful to me than anything Rod ever did. Sorry, Rod fans.

Still think I haven't heard this one

It's tremendous. Arguably Pete's best solo stuff, and some of the most beautiful songs Ronnie Lane ever sang.

yeah it's pretty good, i think ronnie's half is way better...

― Sir Lord Baltimora (Myonga Vön Bontee), Tuesday, 1 April 2014 20:02 (eleven years ago)
i have not! is it good?
― Raptain Chillips (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 1 April 2014 20:07 (eleven years ago)
I've seen it; it's extremely well-done, and very moving in spots. I suspect even non-fans, or those unfamiliar with Lane, would dig it.

Oh, you mean Mahoney's Last Stand...nope.
(Thought you meant the Lane doc)

xxpost It's been 30 years since I saw it, and the fractured narrative confused me at the time. (Maud Adams was hawt)
But HEY, apparently the whole movie's on youtube now!

Is it any good? I haven't listened to it yet (and unfortunately my needle has gone to shit so I can't listen to it at the moment)

Oh. That was a picture of Ronnie Lane's See Me LP from 1980 but doesn't seem to work for me.

How good would his health had been by then? I can't remember when he passed away.
― Raptain Chillips (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 2 April 2014 12:34 (eleven years ago)
He died in 1997, but had been battling MS since at least 1976.
