Which Riot Fest "Classics in Full" Performance Would You Be Most Keen to Watch?

The multi-city Riot Fest has announced a new component to this September's festivals in Chicago and Denver. To celebrate the festival's 10th anniversary, ten bands will play classic albums in full.

I definitely loved a couple of these albums at different points in my youth, but something about seeing all of them next to each other like this, and pondering the line-ups of a few of these bands at this stage, is kind of gruesome.

These days, I'd probably want to see Get Up Kids over Jane's Addiction and the Descendents, both of whom I've caught on their 90s reunion tours. Might be different for me if it were Ritual de lo Habitual. Milo Goes To College is probbaly my favorite of these albums, but I kinda feel like both the band and I are too old for a lot of it.

What the fuck even at Slayer still playing. I've never really been a Slayer guy, but they should hang it up.

Oh, and if it were Weezer playing The Green Album, this would obviously be different for me.

Slayer first, Descendents second, GUKs third, Naked Raygun fourth. Already saw Weezer do theirs a few years back.

I guess the Offspring one could be funny.

"Gamble on the 10th" totally should be a band name. But it's the one they haven't revealed yet.

Naked Raygun probably the best of these bands in the modern era, Milo is my fave of the orig LPs, but my dominant feeling is Do Not Want

this unknown band, at the time, named Weezer was opening up for Lush at a club that Prince owned in Los Angeles. it was all purple and had naked women statues everywhere. Weezer played and they were sort of great in a real geeky kind of way. well Lush's Uhaul broke down going from San Francisco to Los Angeles. the show got postponed until the next night. got to see Weezer again the next night. a few months later KROQ started to play them all the time. because of those shows i'm voting Weezer.

six years pass...

I just realized I've never actually heard Nothing's Shocking

anyway the lineup for Riot Fest 2021 is sick, let's all buy tickets. at least a 75% chance you get a refund.

maybe it'll be a drive-in festival, like the drive-in show Doro Pesch did in Germany
