Especially if you started posting in the last year? ESPECIALLY if you started posting after the move from Greenspun? I know this has been asked before but I wanted to get some idea of how people are arriving here and I thought a shiny new thread might help.

Well, I found ILM a couple of times while googling, long before I ever posted. The first time I found it, I saw that thread about the Kid A cover art and I remember being a bit peeved. Found Freaky Trigger much much later, and then actually started posting on ILM.

Used to frequent the Greenspun Æon Flux board. I recall sighting this place periodically, gauging various impressions from the discussions (mostly intimidating)... this went on for at least a year before I finally decided to bookmark the URL.

I found Freaky Trigger several years ago, new to the web and looking for intelligent pop writing. I think I was looking for something on someone - Talk Talk - and the then search engine of choice found FT. I popped back from time to time.

One of those times was this year, newly excited by online discussions but not expecting to find you ran one, But you did, and I stayed.

In other words, I came in via your old URL.

About May/June - Googled a term used in an old ('77) Jon Savage article which linked to an archived thread here about him.(Had been doing this search every few months for years, but using shit search engines, obv)

Then it was like 'OH-MY-GAWD what IS this place?'

And I've been struggling for sleep/work-productivity ever since.
