it sounds almost exactly like 100000000 other songs; not necessarily a bad thing if you like that style (i don't) but faintly baffling that it zoomed straight to the top of the charts

i do think that essay fails at pinpointing exactly why THAT song and not some other one, but i like their twitter forensics

iunno, i listen to it and it seems pretty obvious to me why it's a big song. big catchy riffs, big drums, p much what's always made for a big dance hit
