i bought a bunch of uniqlo lambswool things (posted elsewhere) and you can't argue with the price (now $15), but they last like two months. that thing looks like it would last forever.

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 21:32 (ten years ago) link

its nice but basically just a totally normal lumber jacket that cost $90

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 21:33 (ten years ago) link

v soft tho

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 21:34 (ten years ago) link

that pattern too idk not sure really why i bought it in the first place, its a pretty pleasant color i guess

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 21:35 (ten years ago) link

It doesn't really seem to hang on the model v well? The front view is unconvincing, makes it seem too light and insubstantial to fall like it should.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Thursday, 16 January 2014 21:56 (ten years ago) link

yeah its pretty light idk just like those shirts we wore in the 90s

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 22:00 (ten years ago) link

So it's more of just a shirt.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Thursday, 16 January 2014 22:01 (ten years ago) link

did your other shirt jacket arrive yet?

caek, Thursday, 16 January 2014 22:02 (ten years ago) link

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 January 2014 22:05 (ten years ago) link

this cpo shirt is maybe just too itchy for me not sure i can do it, maybe im just not cut out for the shirt jacket game, it is v handsome tho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 19:27 (ten years ago) link

imna wear it for a little while and see if i can persevere

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 19:29 (ten years ago) link

wool CPO jackets are itchy! i only wear them as second or third layers over long sleeves.

the late great, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 19:34 (ten years ago) link

its really itchy

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 19:34 (ten years ago) link

a shirt jacket is not a shirt

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 19:59 (ten years ago) link

my filson is out for delivery today but there is a storm so who knows

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:01 (ten years ago) link

its totally a shirt tho, they shd make a lined version thatd be more of a shirt jacket

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:09 (ten years ago) link

it's an overshirt

the late great, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:11 (ten years ago) link

its shirt you guys sry, i mean all do respect to military protocol but ive seen a shirt before i can identify it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:12 (ten years ago) link

i mean its totally on me not even considering the itchiness but i did expect it to be a lil heavier

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:13 (ten years ago) link

im not like a huge layerer so maybe it just doesnt fit my lifestyle

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:14 (ten years ago) link

you should layer!

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:20 (ten years ago) link

i mean if you want to be true to your naval roots, you should layer that shirt

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:20 (ten years ago) link

idk if i can justify the investment for occasional layer opportunities tbh

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:21 (ten years ago) link

i used to have a heavy woolrich flannel shirt that was p cool

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:21 (ten years ago) link

those are v soft but a lil more rigid tho, this one hangs v nice

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:22 (ten years ago) link

layer opportunities are all around you man

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:22 (ten years ago) link

i mean you're at least wearing this thing with a tshirt, right?

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:22 (ten years ago) link

then its like really just a jacket for the outdoors, but id like to wear it indoors w just a tee underneath idk got to think this over so many emotions

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:23 (ten years ago) link

oh yeah dont worry ive got the tee under im not insane

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:24 (ten years ago) link

sometimes i wonder!!!

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:25 (ten years ago) link

haha wait until you see this next idea i have u will def think me quite mad

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:25 (ten years ago) link

maybe i can get my tailor to put a lining in the sleeves is this insane y/n

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:26 (ten years ago) link

that is bananas

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:32 (ten years ago) link

i think it might work, but you would have to line the body too otherwise it would hang weird, no?

wouldn't it just be easier to get a couple of long sleeve t shirts?

caek, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:33 (ten years ago) link

i think if you just put in a super thin satin lining it wouldnt affect how it hangs v much, i dont really f w long sleeve tees idk

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:37 (ten years ago) link

tho maybe cotton would be better

lag∞n, Tuesday, 21 January 2014 20:37 (ten years ago) link
