suede shoes are the worst

Suede is manageable if you are sad enough to buy suede protector and check the weather forecast before putting your shoes on every day.

trace those things suck ass whatever they're made of. don't upbraid the suede

Oh for sure, but like checking if it's likely to rain for even an hour while you're at work, to wear suede boots, it does feel extremely attentive.

I have suede shoes at work and wear tougher shoes on the journey in, it's genuinely no bother

obv wouldnt wear them in deepest winter filth and i'm not claiming i havent suffered too but suede is still a good deal hardier than ppl squeam

if they're that much of an attention outlier then tbh you've probably been neglecting your leather

i should probably at this point confess that i derive a deep fetishistic zen satisfaction from shoe cleaning and watching youtube videos of people doing it so ymmv

haha yeah i got some of trainer cleaner stuff a while back and it is quite satisfying. tho i enjoy washing up more : /

tbh the perpetual necessity of mundane tasks and the tiny sense of satisfaction that comes when they're done is a nice consistent pleasure in a world where so much else is beyond control.

ive been having a bit of a shoe shopping crisis myself

yeah this is my point m/l. they are enjoying a boost in sales for sure but i dont see anyone toppling nike any time soon.

adidas is definitely huge-er & i think probably a lot of credit goes to kanye

huge-er zeitgeist-wise, anyway—obviously it hasn't toppled nike as a company

xp sales numbers don't tell the whole story though either. skechers outsold adidas too, but trust me, kids don't think skechers are cool.

adidas has some nice shoes these days is prob mostly what it comes down to

yeah the NMDs are probably the biggest culprit, with some Kanye. Also some smart nba signature shoe deals with Harden, Wiggins and Lillard after the disaster deal w Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard.

willingness to abandon the three stripes is helpful

then if u dont want a huge swoosh on it who cares who makes it anyway

its not just nmds although those are like the flagship model though, folks are just a lot more open to adidas designs in general

adidas retro designs like stan smiths had a resurgence too

whatever rihanna was paid for this ad a few years back, it was not enough.
