same, im wearing a pair of stan smiths right now, the regular kind, and let me tell you: not comfortable shoes

when i was a kid sambas were worn mainly by kids who were really into soccer for some reason

mostly ppl who wore mock turts under flannels were samba folk iirc my youth

I feel that dudes with cobbled together cafe racers are frequently wearing sambas. I say this as someone who does these things so maybe I just notice it more.

I've worn a lot of the "classics" over the years but never had sambas until 2010 or so. They were the first shoe where I wore them until they were spent and immediately bought a new pair. I've gotten new ones every 12-18 months since then but after putting them on after months of winter I am not really into them this time.
