sambas are the shoe you buy when you want to look like you spent a little time thinking about what shoes to buy but not a lot of time

i like sambas but they're a little played at this point

i used to own...what are they called? regular canvas adidas shoes? with that suede fabric or whatever, which i kinda relate to the people lagoon is talking about (not sure abt the faux turtleneck)

but adidas hasnt rly made any good color combos recently and i dont own any adidas at the mo but im used to wearing either of those two and playin street soccer more than on grass

I've worn a lot of the "classics" over the years but never had sambas until 2010 or so. They were the first shoe where I wore them until they were spent and immediately bought a new pair. I've gotten new ones every 12-18 months since then but after putting them on after months of winter I am not really into them this time.
