Umm what? I don't think I understand modern trainer logic.

well style is an art not a science so there's no real logic to it

Salutations ever to him of excellent vows...to him who himself wieldeth the thread ban hammer, to that mod with whom the hammer is a favorite weapon, who is himself the ban impelled by the hammer; who is the thread ban and the hammer, and the preceptor teaching the use of the hammer
― Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 18:04 (seven years ago)
Nah I kind of think the pink on the heel makes it tbh, and it's rare that I would dig a shoe with pink on the heel
― Fedora Dostoyevsky (man alive), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 18:07 (seven years ago)
guess spiralli didn't like those NBs, I would wear them although they're probably $140 which is a little steep for me
― thots and players (rip van wanko), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 18:13 (seven years ago)

i'm pretty sure you can only wear those guccis if your name is lady ms kier
enbb i assume you wore those with jncos and an ironic t shirt
― the late great, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 19:20 (seven years ago)
lol good call. A red and white ringer tee with a heart that said "macho" inside of it immediately comes to mind. Oh late 90s.
― Benson and the Jets (ENBB), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 19:31 (seven years ago)
wow there are two separate conversations about jncos going on on ILS today
glad you brought up the ringer tee, i was going to but thought perhaps too specific
my sister used to wear shoes like that w/ jnco type jeans and this t-shirt

There's a picture on one of the HS threads where I'm wearing JNCOs, a baby ringer tee, and tiny barrettes. That was definitely a look I was going for for a while there around 95-7.

like it looks like you are dragging them up the screen and they created some kind of after-trail

when i was about six years old i was obsessed with miami vice. at baskin robbins they had a flavor called miami ice, it looked a lot like these summer shoes.

i would not wear those but they have a certain elegance to them i like
― the late great, Thursday, 3 May 2018 23:01 (seven years ago)
how did underarmor pull off the ascension from an off-brand sportswear label like And 1 to being arguably the most prestigious/premium brand out there? that's pretty incredible imo
― thots and players (rip van wanko), Thursday, 3 May 2018 23:38 (seven years ago)
its... not?
― lag∞n, Friday, 4 May 2018 01:11 (seven years ago)
those miami ice am1s r doope
― lag∞n, Friday, 4 May 2018 01:13 (seven years ago)
incredibly there are no archival photos of the flavor, so you’ll have to take my word for it. it was lime ice cream swirled with pink grapefruit. also internet tells me i was a bit older than six when miami vice was on, which is odd because i clearly recall that i literally cried from disappointment when i finally tried it.
― the late great, Friday, 4 May 2018 03:48 (seven years ago)
lmao
― lag∞n, Friday, 4 May 2018 03:48 (seven years ago)
all you care about is stupid basketball where underarmor absorption is lagging somewhat
― thots and players (rip van wanko), Friday, 4 May 2018 15:07 (seven years ago)
under armor has grown a ton in sales but like sneaker fans dont really fuck with it but gym dads do

truly the monster energy drink of athletic apparel
― lag∞n, Friday, 4 May 2018 16:14 (seven years ago)
I feel like even if under armour came out with some super dope-looking shoes the brand would tarnish them for me too much

skechers syndrome
― the late great, Friday, 4 May 2018 16:24 (seven years ago)
the only time i see youngish people wearing under armour it's as workout gear - rather than wearing athletic gear as casual wear. i really do associate it with middle-aged men primarily. after reading this thread before leaving for work i decided to see what people were wearing on my commute. lots of adidas and nike, including track pants, jackets, kicks, bags, some new balance. there was one guy in his 30s who looked fashion agnostic/techy wearing an under armour backpack.
― ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Friday, 4 May 2018 16:26 (seven years ago)
yeah under armor def has cache with actual athletes as athletic equipment, but i feel like nike et al are catching up in the compression gear market that under armor bushwhacked
― lag∞n, Friday, 4 May 2018 16:45 (seven years ago)
guys I like their higher-end sneakers/trainers a LOT and was even shopping them but the local store didn't have the model i was seeking. They're not ugly by any means. The Monster competition is something I would have agreed with until 3-4 years ago, they've changed things
