a closer look at the pieces. i want the cropped, side-zip jacket and one of the other blazers, although i don't have much faith in my getting up early and waiting in line skills. i think the last time i did that, it was for tickets to a david bowie concert when i was 14.

my company used to work security for this store and these designer events are always insane! in the t-dot, the Viktor and Rolf collection was 99% sold out in the first hour. Sigh.
I once got a Lagerfeld skirt at H&M discounted for $8. That was nice.

i was interested in the collection but seeing it on the h&m site its pretty bland. i haven't been following the line for a while but i have a couple of older pieces and in particular a charcoal blazer with a really subtle pinstripe that i love. the suit looks pretty nice but none of this has the same off-hand elegance or surprising detail.

Can I make the point that Infinite Bonertime is my favourite expression of all time and our generation is not deserving of such a perfect expression.

4 hours to go here in SF. I'm 40Th in line. Lots of dudes unfortunately.

I was actually 53rd in line until 8:30am, a stroke of luck got to "trade" places with an employee who was pulled into the store... to 3rd in line! omg.

all the people in the front of the line were employees, so I was chatting with them. they were all going for the (LIMITED TO 5) $350 dress which they were hoping to flip for about $3,500 per.

We were all prepared for 10am sharp and then all of the sudden they opened at 9:30am. People just flooded in. I had a predertimined route to grab the suits that I wanted first and foremost and then grab some coats. It was a madhouse behind me, literally a roar and whoosh of people just clamoring in and grabbing armfulls of merch. Total insanity as I hit my key targets and then just tried to make way with the less expensive items.

I overheard a manager saying they had over $220k worth of CdG/H+M merch in this location alone, almost $1M in NYC and half of that in LA. Tokyo had about $5M last week.

It was GONE in less than 30 mins.

I picked up 15 pieces:

3 suits
3 jackets/coats
1 pair of wool slacks
5 dress shirts
1 t-shirt
1 jumper
1 cardigan
