Workplace uniform style challenges

A thread for making some feeble attempt at STYLE when faced with great workplace limitations. F'instance, I'm doing a lot of shifts at the hospital right now where I have to refill meds in the OR, so I have to wear scrubs. How to make this work? Aside from "duh, just wear the hospital issue shits, who cares it's the swing shift," which is the obv response and which I'll probably be going with anyway.

(I was thinking of just making a 'pictures of worthwhile scrubs' thread, but I want to leave it open to waiter/resses who have to wear black pants/white shirt/certain collar, that sort of thing)

layering scrubs over colored long sleeve thermals is how my boyfriend approaches it, unfortunately there very few men's options as opposed to ladies options but you can probably find some variety in terms of color. don't always have to match top & bottom either

a scrub top is also something you could very easily take in at the sides to fit, i imagine the fabric would be easy to work with. same thing with hemming the pants. depends on how comfortable you are with sewing, and how much you care.
