today i would wear tight black leather pants, big black boots, a 3 quarter sleeve dark brown top with tons of little black rubber bracelets on my right arm

and black eyeliner

prob some balenciaga f/w 2007. still love all this stuff. preppy jackets, ikat prints, giant scarves (although those are totally played out now.. I guess wait a couple years on that). all the shoes are great

today: i would wear a really lightwash 80s jean, with a longsleeve black top, a silver cross and big curly hair.

shoes i dunno... some keds maybe?

pair of old wheat-colored and slightly-frayed helmut lang cords and a thin but good-quality cotton henley and a pair of white converse. also my old oddly-cut but amazing fitting navy bridge coat in a great wool-cashmere blend. it had red detailing around the buttonholes and i lost it one night on vacation

white converse are key.

today:

-turkey baster tight dark gray/blue jeans
-wide diamond belt
-big cobalt blue hightop sneakers

white shirt with detachable upturned collar + ridic. elaborate checkered cravat + patterned silk waistcoat + black, loose-fitting morning coat + heavy tweed trousers = the middle-aged Darwin look that I can only dream of pulling off
